Dealer Notes

Get used to attention with the 2019 Ford Edge. From the dynamic grille to the fluid shapes and smooth lines that run the length of its body, the Edge will let you arrive in style. It also has a sleek roof, aerodynamic shape and the type of commanding profile that isn’t afraid of turning heads or stepping into the spotlight. It starts with a bold exterior, featuring a restyled body, grille, hood and wheels, LED headlamps and fog. The Edge has an extensive wheel lineup to suit your taste, from the 18in sparkle silver-painted aluminum wheels, to the 21in premium gloss black-painted aluminum. The Edge is powered by either a 245HP 2.0L EcoBost I-4 or a 2.7L V6 EcoBoost engine that delivers 335hp and 380 lb.-ft. of torque coupled with a performance-tuned eight-speed automatic transmission. The available intelligent AWD uses sensors to constantly monitor traction, helping you through various types of weather and road conditions. It balances torque between the front and rear wheels to enhance handling and maximize traction, typically before wheelslip can even occur. The Edge connects you to more than just the road, with technology features including available SYNC 3, a premium sound system, FordPass app access and hassle-free charging. You’ll also find a comprehensive suite of safety features such as a standard rear-view camera, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane centering and pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking. The 2019 Ford Edge smart is built for action.

  • Ford Has Really Stepped Up Its Game

By Craig on Friday, September 22, 2017

Went from a 2008 Acadia SLT to a 2017 Ford Edge Titanium because we are empty nesters and didnt need the extra space anymore. We were going to test drive an Explorer but spotted the Edge on showroom floor while we waiting and fell in love with its spaciousness and comfort but without the bulk. Have had it two months now and can honestly say, I wont drive anything else ....ever. The 2.0 Eco Boost 4-banger has a ton of low end torque and very little turbo lag with excellent acceleration. Its quiet, smooth tranny, and is much more nimble in heavy traffic than its size would suggest. The interior fit and finish is very solid and is packed with quality materials with soft touch surfaces everywhere you reside - luxury on a budget. The new Sync 3 system is one of the easiest head units to operate on the market. Ford has a huge winner in the Edge - simple yet elegant without the import price tag. The Edge punches way above its weight class.
  • Very Happy with my 2017 Edge SEL

Just purchased a fully loaded 2017 Ford Edge SEL from our local dealer and could not be happier. Just took it on a long road trip (1,800 miles) this last week to visit family and was very impressed with the power (2.0 Turbo) going through the hills. On certain streches of desert highway we were cruising around 95 MPH and the ride was great; very low road noise and still averaged 23.4 MPG on the trip. While the jury is still out on the long term reliability, I am very happy with my purchase to date.
  • Best car I ever owned

I Have owned a 2010 and a 2015 Ford Edge and loved both. My son was given the 2015 Edge when it reached 100k miles and has been using it for Uber and doordash and never had any issues with it. We bought a 2019 in Oct of 2018 and got the SEL trim and currently have 13k miles on it never any issues. We live in the mountains of West Virginia and have long drives to get anywhere and rack up miles quickly. The Edge is a safe reliable and good looking vehicle and it gets very good gas mileage if you keep your foot out of it, I average about 31 mpg mainly highway. It is loaded with lots of tech and very comfortable for long trips. My husband is looking to replace his 2016 Subaru Forester as it has transmission issues at 73k miles and is leaning towards a new Edge as well.
